PrimeTime Timing

PrimeTime has been providing high-end track & field services to clients since 2003. We use the latest technology available to provide real time results via our internet based live results and broadcast graphics platform (powered by Karmarush), infield LED display boards and permanent in stadium videoboard displays.

PTT has a large inventory of Finishlynx photofinish cameras with a range of capabilities that provide accurate results quickly for any track event ranging from youth to professional. We service an array of clients around the country and handle anything from your local high school meet to large professional events such as the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix and the NYRR Millrose Games. We also provide services to several NCAA DI clients and their conference championship events.

A major strength of our services is our ability to provide LED display boards around the track so spectators can follow along with field events in real time. This data is processed using PTT's proprietary field event tablet system that provides a simple to use UI for the event officials and allows us to relay this information to the infield displays as well as a commentator information system (CIS) and internet live results so people at home on in the stands can see the full series of attempts as they are taking place in the venue.

We also use the fastest live results platform in the country in our partnership with Karmarush. The platform provides instant access to every aspect of a meet’s results to fans/coaches in a responsive format for easy viewing on any device. Pull out your phone any follow along to the leaderboards of the field events, and with the touch of a finger switch over to view split times from a race on the track. With additional features like season/personal best tagging clickable names for a quick historical stat view nothing can beat our live results experience.

Photofinish Timing

We use digital photofinish cameras to determine athletes finishing times and places for all races in track & field. The cameras run at 1,000 frames per second with the capability of running as high as 10,000 frames per second. This is the standard timing practice for any major event in the world these days such as the Olympics. The camera system software allows us to drive real time data to in stadium displays and internet based live results systems. Photofinish cameras are run with a battery backup power supply to allow the system to function during a temporary power outage.

Display Clocks & Lap Counters

Displays clocks can be placed in various locations to display the current running time of the race in progress, start lists, results or time of day during down time. These displays are available in a few different sizes to best fit the facility’s needs.

LED lap counters can also be provided that are three-sided allowing coaches and fans all over the facility to see the laps to go count. This can be controlled manually from a keypad or automatically when using our athlete tracking system.

False Start Detection

The ReacTime False Start Detection System captures reaction times and start data using internationally patented technology in sensor units attached to athlete starting blocks. The system is comprised of block sensors on each starting block, a command center and has an integrated Public Address system to facilitate clear transmission of the Starter’s Commands to the athletes. During a start, the ReacTime technology relays athlete reaction data to the Command Center where it instantly analyzes starts in accordance with IAAF rules every 1/1000th of a second.

Wind Gauges

Our wind gauges are integrated with the timing system to track wind readings according to all rulebooks. Wind gauges can have LED displays to show the wind readings instantly when available with green and red background to show if the wind is legal or illegal for record purposes.

Athlete Tracking

Real time athlete tracking is a new service in 2020 that allows us to track athletes as the race progresses. Data from the system can be used to provide leaderboards, split times, speed tracking and much more.

Videoboard Signals

We have several options for videoboard display layouts. All of our options are provided via broadcast quality graphics machines that provide HD-SDI signals in either 1080i or 720p resolutions to the videoboard production.

Field Event Tablets

Our proprietary field event tablet system gives the operators an intuitive UI that makes it easy to following along with events and input results as the event progresses. These tablets are networked to the display boards and pressbox via a PTT provided wireless network so we can seamlessly drive the display boards, announcer screens and internet results with data instantly from the infield.

Field Event Displays

We have one of the largest inventories of LED displays available in the US for track & field events. Our modular displays allow us to build and customize display sizes to fit our customer's needs. Our standard field board (pictured above) is just over 3' x 6' in size. Our standard display has 6mm resolution allowing for very clear, readable text and images.

Electronic Distance Measurement

Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) is a laser based distance measurement device that is accurate to ±2mm & ±2 angular seconds, which exceeds World Athletics standards. It can provide measurements for throwing events and horizontal jumping events. It ties directly into the field event scoring computer eliminating the possibility of error in transcribing the results and allow the marks to instantly be updated on displays and internet results.

Live Results

We've partnered with Karmarush to provide the fastest live results in the country to our clients. Information is available instantly in a responsive format that looks great on any device. With many options for record and best mark tagging as well as other athlete performance data this is the most informative results platform in the US.

Broadcast Graphics

Using the results platform powered by Karmarush we can provide a variety of integration options for your event allowing real-time information to be displayed on the broadcast. With a number of events going on simultaneously this system allows you to have what you need for the show with the press of a button.

Clerking

PTT can provide a computer-based system to allow for checking in athletes and seeding meets on the go resulting in less empty lanes. This can help speed along the meet without wasting time on half-filled heats.

Database Management

We use Hy-Tek Meet Manager to manage the meets entries and start lists, which is the industry standard. This integrates closely with our live results and display boards allowing information to be readily available.

Online Entries

For high school events PTT has teamed up with MileSplit to provide a top of the line solution for online entries. For college meets we utilize the Direct Athletics platform for easy synchronization with TFRRS.

Results Reporting

Post meet we sync up the results to any necessary results reporting systems. This would vary by event type and location. For collegiate meets all results are synchronized to TFRRS following the meet's completion.

Toe Board Review

Using a recording system that is integrated into the results tablet we can synchronize and save attempts off athlete by athlete for easy access to review during a protest. Our simple controller allows for instant review on site and frame by frame evaluation of the attempt.

Throws Review

Similar to the toe board review out throws review is integrated with the results table and uses two broadcast quality cameras to allow review of the throw from both sides of the ring.

Track Review

Using PTZ cameras in each corner of the track we can supplement the cameras already provided by the broadcast to allow more footage of the race to be evaluated during a protest. Footage can also be watched live and incidents seen by the video review referee can be instantly flagged for review when the race is complete. When paired with our athlete tracking system we can also task these cameras to automatically follow athletes in the race.
